At Notre-Dame du Lac, we place immense value on the support of our alumni, parents, and friends — at every level.

Every contribution matters. Each gesture helps sustain the NDL spirit, supports our educational projects, and strengthens the bonds between generations.

The Structure

Whatever way you choose to support Notre-Dame du Lac, and whatever the amount of your contribution, every gift matters.

We have established several recognition programs to express our gratitude for your generosity.

If you would like more information, please contact our Development Office, which will be pleased to provide you with an official donation certificate.


The 1946 Society

Named in honor of the year our Institute was founded, the 1946 Society celebrates the major donors who support NDL on a regular or annual basis.

Their loyalty ensures ongoing and lasting support for the projects of the NDL community.

Membership begins with the first gift and continues as long as annual support remains active.

The Benefactors

Donors contributing CHF 5,000 or more in a single year are recognized as Benefactors. 

They enjoy:

  • A special mention in our publications,
  • Invitations to exclusive events throughout the year,
  • And direct communication with the Alumni Relations team.

Benefactors who commit to a recurring annual gift of CHF 5,000 or more, reaching a total of CHF 25,000, are welcomed into the 1946 Society (Major Donors).

The Patrons

Donors contributing between CHF 100 and CHF 4,999 in a given year are recognized as Patrons.

They are acknowledged in our communications, invited to select NDL events, and welcomed to the annual 1946 Society Reception.
